The Town of Elmore is seeking a responsible and community-minded individual to join
the Cemetery Commission.
Position Overview
The Cemetery Commission cares for the two historic cemeteries in Elmore.
Commissioners help ensure the grounds remain respectful, well-maintained, and
preserved for current and future generations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the general care and maintenance of the cemeteries by coordinating
and supervising all activities such as lawn care and headstone repair - Participate in planning and decision-making for cemetery operations
- Attend a minimum of 4 meetings per year (typically evenings)
Qualifications
- Strong interest in community service and local history
- Reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with other commission members
- Elmore residency required
This is a volunteer position with no monetary compensation, but it offers the rewarding
opportunity to serve and protect an important part of Elmore’s heritage.
