| DATE: Friday, April 19, 2024 PROJECT NOTICE: The Worcester BF 0241(59) project includes the replacement of the existing rolled beam bridge with a new steel girder bridge with footings founded on bedrock within the existing alignment. Bridge #84 is located in Worcester on Vermont Route 12 (VT 12) over the North Branch of the Winooski River. The project team will send weekly email Construction Updates throughout the project. This is the first Construction Update for the project. The project is scheduled for completion in Winter 2025. TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: The speed limit throughout the work zone has been reduced from 50 mph to 40 mph. Motorists should expect occasional flaggers on the roadway to assist with the delivery of equipment and materials. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews will continue to work on the installation of the temporary bridge and approaches in preparation for paving. |
